Accounting Services

Helping limited companies, sole traders and contractors with your business accounting.

You don’t have to struggle with your business accounting

You didn’t train to be an accountant. And you certainly didn’t start your business to stress over spreadsheets. If you’re a limited company, sole trader, contractor, electrician or tradesperson, I offer a range of services to help you.

  • Set you up on XERO accounting software

Sole Trader Accounts

You’ve got so much to do as a sole trader, including keeping your accounting up to date and understanding what you can and cannot claim as an expense. And that’s before you even get to completing and submitting a tax return correctly.

So, if any of these give you sleepless nights, don’t panic, I can:

  • Set you up on accounting software so you can easily do your bookkeeping

  • Explain what you can and cannot claim as an expense

  • Estimate your tax and VAT bills

  • Fill in your year-end accounting figures

  • Deal with the HMRC on your behalf

  • Submit your Self-Assessment and Making Tax Digital quarterly reports

  • Create evidence of earnings reports for mortgage applications

I’m an accountant for sole traders, contractors, tradespeople and freelancers. If that’s you, don’t let your accounting keep you up at night, get in touch to see how I can help.

VAT Support

When your UK business income reaches £90,000, you must register and submit your VAT payments to the HMRC.

But it’s not uncommon to have questions like:

  • How much is VAT?

  • What products and services are exempt from VAT?

  • How do I submit  VAT to HMRC?

  • Can I claim back VAT?

While most goods and services have a 20% VAT rate, some are exempt.  Adding a standard VAT to your income and expenses using software is dangerous and could result in you paying fees and fines you could have avoided.

If your business is becoming VAT-registered, I can assist you with the paperwork, answer your questions, and handle the calculations and payments for you.

Cash Flow & Management Accounts

Getting your cash flow projections and financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, will help you make better strategic, economic and financial decisions. But when finance isn’t your thing, where do you even start?

If you:

  • Have growing sales but not enough cash

  • Struggle to pay staff at the end of the month

  • Can’t work out where all your money is going

  • Think you might need to borrow money

Then, Year-End reporting isn’t going to help.

If your business generates more than £100,000 per year and you’re struggling to pay staff, invoices or stay afloat, I can support you with a report, videos that explain your performance for that month and advise on changes you can make to address any cash leaks.

Price from: £60 p/m

Construction Industry Scheme

If you’re a contractor, you must join the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) to make tax deductions on behalf of your subcontractors. But knowing what taxes to register, how, where to send invoices and setting it all up in Xero is probably doing your head in.

If you’re overwhelmed already, I can:

  • Register you for CIS

  • Tell you which invoices to send

  • Explain what to expect if you’re a subcontractor

  • Show you how to keep records and when to send them to the HMRC

  • Help you decide whether you should be a sole trader or a Limited Company

Not only that, I can show you how to send invoices and payments while you’re sitting in your van, at home or in the office, as well as how to compile evidence if you're not receiving CIS statements from your contractors, so you don’t get fined.

Price from: £40 p/m

Why choose me as your accountant?

Because I make working together really easy:

  • "Udari handled my self-assessment tax return so smoothly and efficiently that I have now asked her to continue to do so for every tax return moving forward. She was incredibly helpful, even when my books were in a complete mess! Udari told me exactly what she needed from me, then did all the legwork. If you need help with your accounts, I would 100% recommend Udari."
